About PUBG Mobile Infected Mode

About PUBG Mobile Infected Mode

The Infection mode in PUBG Mobile is yet another zombie mode after Survive Till Dawn and Darkest Night modes. You can get access to this mode with the latest 0.14.0 update. There is a difference in this Infection Mode, which is that the humans will take control of the zombies.  Besides, players will play on a completely new map called Lost Harbor packed with plenty of structures and buildings for up to 12 participants to go around.

PUBG Mobile Infection Mode consists of 3 rounds and each of them lasts 3 minutes. In the early phase of a round, a certain number of players will be randomly chosen as zombies, while some will become humans (Defenders). Both teams have to compete against each other for the ultimate victory. At the end of the round, when time is up, the last one standing on the ground will bring victory to their team, either Defenders or Zombies.

Defender

Defender

Defenders are the human players that are armed with 660 bullets and two completely-attached ARs. Just only one hit will make Defenders a zombie! Nevertheless, a Defender will change into a Vanquisher if they can struggle to be the last 3 survival. The Vanquishers are armed with more health and they can employ a machete. They are able to dish out more damage in just a single hit and they can easily do a bigger cleave swing. If Vanquishers slay Zombies, the Zombies will not be able to respawn.

Zombie

Speed, Stealth, and King are the three types of zombies in PUBG Mobile Zombie Infection Mode. Some players will change into a Speed zombie by default in the early stage of the round or they will become a Speed zombie when they get infected. After being destroyed by a Defender, that zombie player can select to become either a Speed or Stealth zombie when they respawn. For the King zombie, you are required to get 2 players infected or achieve Boosters (3 if you get infected by other players) so you can turn into this form.

Zombie
  • Speed zombie: This kind of zombie is extremely fast and can easily grow their speed for a short time.
  • Stealth zombie: This kind of zombie is able to become invisible.
  • King zombie: This kind of zombie is very slow but able to dish out more damage to Vanquishers. They are also capable of developing the defense of close zombies.

The Lost Harbor map

The Lost Harbor map

This is not a big map like other PUBG Mobile maps! Due to the small size of The Lost Harbor map, you are required to recognize 3 choke points on the map if you want to protect yourself from zombies successfully, or else, it will be extremely difficult to stay alive on the ground because there is a lot of open space for the zombies to come to you. Also, you will turn into one of them with just only one hit. Hence, it is very important to observe around you. Before the commencement of the round, make sure you will not stay close to other players at these places since they are likely to change into a zombie and get you infected.

How to play and win Infection Mode in PUBG Mobile

Pre-Round

Make sure you carefully place yourself at a choke point and do not stay close to other players or prepare a plan ahead for an exit since there is always a chance for the players that are nearby by to turn you into a zombie.

Early game

Early game

For Defenders: Try to reach the choke points as fast as possible and make an attempt to rack up as many zombie kills as possible. You will be able to survive more easily if there are more people there with you. Make sure you also attack them in the head to dish out more damage.

Early game

For Zombies: Go chase down Defenders that are standing on the ground first to get an easy kill, and by doing so, you can help grow the zombie number for your team. In case you are attempting to push a choke point, make sure there are other zombies who can go with you for a higher chance of success.

Late game

For Defenders: When 3 Defenders are the last ones on the ground, all of them will be changed into Vanquishers. There is a disadvantage for the Vanquishers, which is that they cannot move fast, hence, you should try not to move in a straight line and make sure you are always with other Vanquisher to lessen as many zombies as possible. Keep in mind that you will win the battle if the time is up. If you have no much time left, you can select to dance around using springy rubber rings bar and rooftops rather than battling.

Late game

For Zombies: The zombies should always go with each other to kill the Vanquishers, which is the best option for them now. The play area becomes extremely restricted for the Vanquishers due to the blue zone. Nevertheless, zombies are able to enter the blue zone and stay there without any damage, therefore, you should take advantage of this to place yourself carefully against the Vanquishers for a chance of winning.
